Arf, my name is Kowa.  I am 3 months old and weigh 15 pounds, and already had a dream come true.  When a Westside volunteer came to my shelter to rescue some "real" German Shepherds, I saw my reflection in the bars of my steel cage and noticed that I was black and tan, just like them.  So I took some deep breaths and puffed myself up and dreamed they would take me too.  AND THEY DID!  Now I am being fostered in a home with one other dog, a turtle and two hummingbirds and their babies.   My foster mom says I am really smart.  She has taught me to sit, stay, come, high five, lay down, roll over and play dead on command.  I love kids and recently went to visit the Carlthorp School in Santa Monica to pose with the student council for their website.  You see, the kids recently had a fundraiser and donated the proceeds to Westside German Shepherd Rescue to help dogs like me.  I am a good passenger on car rides and love going for long walks where I meet other people; I like all of them and, because I am irresistibly cute (if I do say so myself), they fall in love with me.  However, even though I am a cuddle bug, I will sound an alert if someone knocks on the door  (I may not be big but I am courageous).  Now I have just one more dream:  will you please give me a forever home?  I promise to always love you.
(P.s. Some of the pictures posted here are a week old when my ears were working their way up. A week later, on the new ones my ears are up!!)
